Easy to remember hummus
Hummus is one of those party dishes you put out for people to dip into, your vegetarian friends will thank you for the dip if you make nothing else that they consider edible. (don’t be that person, they will tell all their vegetarian friends!).
If you’re new to making hummus… Welcome to my class!
All you really have to do is put all the ingredients in a blender, or even better a food processor.
- 2 cans of Garbanzo beans one strained, the other can; only strain a little out the rest in the blender
- 1tsp Salt
- 1tsp Pepper
- 2 tsp Dill (fresh if you can if not dry will do)
- 1/2 tsp Paprika
- Garlic 3-4 cloves
- One squeezed lime or lemon
- 1/4 cup Olive oil
- 1/2 cup Tahini – just ask at your local super market they will know (usually in the same isle as olive oil)
Put everything in the blender, blend till smooth if it’s to thick add more tahini, pour out into a bowl top off with a little sprinkle of paprika, olive oil and serve with chips or my favorite, warm pita with a little brushed olive oil and salt.
